At the Constantia Valley Garden Club’s end of year function our chairlady, Jeanette Van Maaren handed over a beautiful bouquet of flowers, most of which came from member’s gardens, to Maureen Vijoen, the OGC (OPEN GARDENS CONSTANTIA)chairlady, as a thank you for all her hard work.
Her daughter Marie, who has been such a help with our blog and Facebook page received a copy of Kobus van der Merwe & Jac de Villiers ‘Strandveldfood’ – together with a ‘gathering’ of edible plants from a member’s garden- more about this to come!
The garden was also brought to the table on this plate of asparagus!
