About OGC

Open Gardens Constantia is a bienniel showcase of private gardens in the Cape Town suburb of Constantia and its close environs.

2014’s open garden days are November 14th and 15th.

OGC is organized by the Constantia Valley Garden Club,  in conjunction with the Flourish and Constantiaberg garden clubs.

Every two years, since 1994, a select handful of special gardens is opened to ticket-holding members of the public. Tickets include tea and cake served and enjoyed in one of the gardens.  There is also a popular plant sale, featuring potted plants propagated or grown by members of the garden clubs. Fresh local produce is available from Abalimi Bezekhaya, one of OGC’s beneficiaries.

Proceeds from the ticket and plant sales are donated to local food garden projects with proven track records and sustainable mission statements. 2014’s beneficiaries are Abalimi Bezekhaya and Soil for Life.

Tickets will be available at designated merchants, or at the gate of the advertised gardens. Check this page or visit our OGC Facebook page closer to the time for more details and addresses!

OGC thanks our sponsors for their support: Biogro,  Fairholme Plants, Master Organics, MichellsReliance Compost, ShadowlandsTalborne Organics and Starke Ayres.
