Open Gardens Constantia is a bienniel showcase of private gardens in the Cape Town suburb of Constantia and its close environs.
2019’s open garden days are October 18th and 19th. Tickets R70 (in advance) R80 (on the day)
OGC is organized by the Constantia Valley Garden Club, in conjunction with the Flourish and Constantiaberg garden clubs.
Every two years, since 1994, a select handful of special gardens is opened to ticket-holding members of the public. Tickets include tea and cake served and enjoyed in one of the gardens. There is also a popular plant sale, featuring potted plants propagated or grown by members of the garden clubs.
Proceeds from the ticket and plant sales are donated to local food garden projects with proven track records and sustainable mission statements.
